This is a medical specialty focusing on the study, diagnosis and treatment of the blood, blood-forming tissues, disorders affecting them, cancerous and non-cancerous tumors. Medical oncologists are physicians who have specialized in the assessment and management of patients with cancer. They are trained to use systemic drugs in the treatment of cancer, and to administer these therapies to patients who either have localized or metastatic malignancy in need of systemic therapy or whose cancer has potentially been cured by surgery but for whom further adjuvant systemic therapy improves their outlook. The role of the medical oncologist is to discuss the treatment options with patients, supervise the therapy and manage any complications of disease and/or treatment that may arise.

Hematology encompasses clinical management of blood disorders, laboratory measurement of cellular components of blood, provision and proper use of transfusion products, and laboratory identification and clinical management of disturbances in homeostasis. Hematologists undergo general professional training in medicine and specialist training in all aspects of hematology, both clinical and laboratory. They provide the medical professional input into the organization of laboratories, interpretation of morphology and histology of hematological specimens, including immuno-phenotyping and cyto-chemistry, and an advisory service on hematological matters to other departments within a general hospital.

Because of the critical requirements of oncologists and hematologists, they need a health information and technology provider that can innovate the way they practice their specialty and Synergy Healthcare Solutions provides solutions and services that are specifically designed to suit the unique needs of varied specialties especially that will ensure fast, efficient, reliable and quality delivery of healthcare to valued patients.
